VERONICA
AUSTRIACA var. TEUCRIUM: A beautiful but somewhat overlooked species, this plant produces racemes
of pale to dark blue flowers in June and into July. Foliage is dark green and maintains its color long after the
blooms are finished. Clumping in
nature, the plants will form large mats over time. Full sun and average soils seem to suit it best.
Seeds should be moist stratified for 3-4 weeks prior to planting in early
April. Cover the tiny seeds with
just a light dusting of soil and keep moist.
Transplant out when of sufficient size.
