PINK MALLOW: Another choice specimen for the sunny dry garden, this shrub-like species produces large pale pink flowers in abundance throughout the summer and into fall. Plants can reach 1.5 m in height and are best planted in rows or clumps for effect. A tufted perennial, it has proven more than hardy at our growing plots. Seeds can be sown in late fall or early spring direct, or started in containers inside for transplanting later. Cover seeds with 1 cm of soil. Full sun and average to dry soils are best (like most of the plants we grow!!) 100 seeds. P595
