LYCHNIS KUISIANA:  Another choice Lychnis from our collection, this species grows to 60 cm tall and produces large scarlet to orange-red flowers in June and July.  Foliage is medium green in color and should be trimmed back once flowering is complete as the plants go dormant in mid to late August.  Seeds can be sown direct in late fall, early spring or started indoors in April to be transplanted out.  Cover the seeds with .5 cm of soil.  60 seeds.    P594
