LARGE-FLOWERED PENSTEMON:
The showiest of all the Penstemon, or Beardtongues, we grow – this species comes from the American Mid-West and prefers full sun with well-drained rich soils. Growing to 90 cm tall, the pale lilac flowers appear on tall spikes starting in mid June and continue on till August. Seeds need a 3-4 week moist stratification period to break dormancy or can be seeded direct in late fall. Cover the seeds with .5 cm of soil. 60 seeds. P612
