INULA SALICINA: A wonderfully compact plant with loads of medium sized yellow daisy-like flowers in mid summer. Ideal for the border or rock garden, it prefers full sun and well-drained soils. Similar to Sword-Leaved Inula, except the leaves are broader and a deeper green. Seeds should be started indoors in mid April and transplanted out when of adequate size. Cover the seeds with just a fine dusting of soil and keep warm and moist. Direct seeding in mid spring may work, but I have not tried this method yet. 60 seeds. P565
