GAILLARDIA:  A must plant for those hot, dry, south facing areas where very little else will grow. Sow outdoors in late April, early May or late October. Grows to 90 cm high. Blooms are a mix of yellow/red combinations with various different petal shapes surrounding a brown centre. Develops a deep root system but is not invasive. May flower the first year by late summer. Very hardy perennial. This is a horticultural strain and differs from the native G. aristata whose leaves are quite different and lack the red on its petals.   100 seeds.    P532
