BLUE DELPHINIUM: Delphiniums are a traditional favorite in many gardens. Various shades of blue, from dark to almost white, make up our collection.  Growing to 150 cm +, the plants will benefit from staking and a sheltered site out of the wind if possible. They are heavy feeders and should be given bone meal every spring. A little lime doesn't hurt either. Full sun is best for these plants in well-drained soils. Start indoors in late March or direct seed in late April. Freezing the seed for 24 hours prior to seeding will aid germination. Make excellent cut flowers.   60 seeds. P488
