Native Habitat Garden

Bedrock Seed Bank has developed a package program to promote native plant gardens, in light of the 2005 provincial centennial and numerous requests from individuals, schools and community leagues throughout Alberta. This simplified, cost effective method utilizing our knowledge and expertise, allows for the establishment of a Native Habitat Garden in a relatively short period of time.

The Native Habitat Garden program features:

Native Perennial Flowers, in 3 ½” pots for ease of transplanting, 20 different species, 5 of each, selected for attracting butterflies, hummingbirds, and seed eaters. All are first year plants started from seed from our growing plots. The genetic source for the species is the Edmonton area.
100 square foot coverage, with a range of heights, 30 – 120 cm.
Ideal for a free standing bed, against a building, or an alleyway (sunny site, average soil conditions)
Delivery to your site in early to mid June as spring conditions permit. (Greater Edmonton Area only)

While payment is not due until plants are dropped off, your confirmation is needed early as quantities are limited.

Cost: Plants and delivery is $300.00 + G.S.T.

Larger plans are available to fit your site with an expanded choice of species. We would need the square footage and basic layout of your intended project. REMEMBER, in order to have your plants available to you in June, we start the seed stratification in FEBRUARY! So, please book early!
