
WHITE PRAIRIE ASTER: Native to much of Western Canada, this aster is also known as Aster ericoides. Flower heads are in a long, one-sided cluster. It has narrow, slightly gray-green leaves and reaches heights of 50 cm and up to 60 cm across. Suitable for wildflower planting areas or in contained rock garden spot. Sow seed in late fall or moist stratify in the fridge for 3 weeks prior to spring planting. Do not cover seed, but press firmly into the soil. White Prairie Asters prefer an open, fairly dry, sunny location - will tolerate some shade also. 60 seeds. NF846
