TUFTED FLEABANE:   This diminutive fleabane is widespread in southern Alberta, occurring in dry eroded area. An great choice for the rock garden. Growing to only 25 cm tall, it produces numerous whitish-pink daisy flowers with yellow centres.  Full sun and poor well-drained soils are best for this species. Very drought tolerant once established. Blooms in mid to late summer. Seeds should be sown in late fall or early spring direct. If starting indoors in the spring the seeds will benefit from a 3-4 week moist stratification period to break the dormancy. Germinates best at higher temperatures. Cover the seed with just a light dusting of soil.   100 seeds.    NF765
