SMOOTH ASTER: Sky blue flowers appear in late summer. Ideal native species for semi-shaded areas or in full sun. Grows to 80 cm. To stratify seed for spring seeding - place in plastic container, moisten very lightly and refrigerate for 2 weeks. Plant immediately. Do not cover seed but keep moist until germination begins. Can be fall seeded as well. Multiple branches of flower heads. Common on undisturbed areas in and around the city of Edmonton and the Parkland region. Produces a lot of seed. Excellent when combined with some of the taller native grasses.   100 seeds.    NF848
