OLD MAN'S WHISKERS: Also called Prairie Smoke and Three Flowered Avens, this plant grows to 40 cm high with nodding pink flowers that appear in May and June. The feathery styles stand erect as the blossom matures. Growing in large quantities, these blooms look like smoke rising from the prairie. Makes a great addition to a rock or border garden. I prefer starting in cell trays after a 4 week moist stratification period, then transplanting in July. Can be direct seeded in late fall also. Cover the seeds only slightly. Achieves the best visual effect when planted in groups. Full sun and soil on the dry side are ideal for this species. 70 seeds. NF772 Sorry, sold out.
