YELLOW EVENING PRIMROSE: Hardy biennial of the open prairies and drier parkland area. Reaches 100 cm + in height with beautiful yellow blooms. Tender young leaves can be eaten like spinach or used in a salad. Primrose oil comes from the seeds. Direct seed in late fall or early spring in a sunny, fairly dry area.
