NUTTALL'S SUNFLOWER: Also called Common Tall Sunflower, this species can be found in the Edmonton area and farther south. An excellent choice for a native flower garden, the 1-2 m tall plants are crowned with usually just a single flower 10-12 cm across. It prefers moister ground than the other native sunflowers but performs well in our dry land plots. Full sun is essential. Seeds should be fall seeded in October or in early spring as soon as the ground can be worked. If starting inside - presoak the seeds overnight or place seeds with moist sand or peat in a plastic container and keep in the fridge for 2-3 weeks prior to planting. Cover the seeds with .5 cm of soil.   60 seeds.  Sorry sold out for 2009/2010  NF782.
