
MOUNTAIN GOLDENROD: Widespread in the northern two thirds of the province, this species grows to 50 cm tall with many yellow flower heads arranged on a spike. Plants are generally sticky to the touch, especially when flowering occurs in July and August. Plants will grow in full sun to partial shade in a wide range of soil types – from dry to wet areas. Seeds can be sown direct in late fall, early spring or started indoors after a 3-4 week period of moist stratification. Cover the seeds with just a light dusting of soil and keep moist. 100 seeds.
