LILAC-FLOWERED PENSTEMON: Native to the southern areas of Alberta, this dainty 40 cm high plant makes a wonderful addition to a rock garden. Lilac-coloured tube-shaped flowers appear in June and early July. Prefers full sun and conditions on the drier side. Works well in raised beds. Seed in early spring in flats and transplant or direct after a 2 week stratification in the fridge. Press seed into the soil, but do not cover. As Penstemons go to flower early, plant later blooming flowers in and amongst.   200 seeds.    NF819
