
BLANKETFLOWER: Native to much of Alberta - from the Parkland region south. Prefers drier slopes with well drained soil, but tolerates many soil types. Full sun is always best. Sow outdoors in May or late October. For spring seeding, moist stratify the seeds for 3 weeks. Grows to 60 - 70 cm high. Bright reddish brown centre surrounded by yellow petals. Develops a deep root system but is not invasive. Usually flowers the first year in late summer. Hardy perennial. One of the showiest native flowers in our collection. 100 seeds. NF769
