URSINIA:   Also called Dill-leaf Ursinia, this South African native does extremely well in our plots. Full sun and average soil on the dry side are best. The fine, feathery foliage is scented while the flowers are large, orange to yellow with a deep maroon to purple centre ring. The plants produce a profusion of flowers in mid summer, but tend to close on cloudy days. I start the seeds in cell trays in early April and transplant in mid to late May. Cover the seeds only slightly. Plants should be spaced 10-15 cm apart. A very impressive flower that is not very common in Edmonton gardens.   70 seeds.    A282
