
CLASPING CONEFLOWER: Annual relative of the Brown-Eyed Susan, but with down turned yellow petals and a large black centre that rises 2.5 cm above the blossom. Inner petal colour is red. Grows 50-60 cm tall and generally reseeds itself to form clumps in following years. Sow seed on the surface of the soil as soon as the ground can be worked in the spring.. Does best in drier soils in full sun. Makes an excellent fresh cut flower. Mid to late summer blooms. 100 seeds. A246
